We have exciting news! HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau has funded the National MCH Workforce Development and Training Center, which continues and expands our work. This cooperative agreement provides funding to expand our services and develop new opportunities to support the MCH workforce.
To accomplish this next phase of our work, we’re joining forces with the MCH Navigator and the Association of Teachers of Maternal and Child Health (ATMCH)! Together, we will become the National MCH Workforce Development and Training Center!
Here’s what you can look forward to in this next phase:
- Our Learning Journey program will continue! We plan to open applications soon.
- We will continue to provide customized support to Title V agencies. If your agency has a current need for support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Rebecca Greenleaf (rebecca_greenleaf@unc.edu).
- The Title V MCH Internship Program will continue. We expect to open applications to states and territories for the summer 2027 program very soon.
- We are launching a new, two-day leadership development program for Title V directors and MCH Block Grant Coordinators. We expect to open applications in early 2027.
- We’re also launching a new, online learning program with webinars and toolkits that will help any MCH professional or aspiring professional develop essential skills. Stay tuned for more information.
- The MCH Navigator will become the online learning hub for our Center. It will continue to develop its curated library of high-quality trainings and resources for MCH professionals, students, academics, and other practitioners. Sign up for the MCHalert newsletter for updates about new content.
- The Association of Teachers of Maternal and Child Health (ATMCH) will be integrated into our academic-practice partnership work. It will continue as a national network dedicated to excellence in MCH teaching. ATMCH offers webinars and resources and, for members only, the Innovative Teaching Awards program. Join ATMCH for free to receive updates.
As we head into this new chapter, we are grateful for the opportunity to continue serving and learning from everyone in the MCH field. If you have participated in our programs or conference sessions, served on our advisory committee, or partnered with us to present your work as an example of what’s possible, we have learned from you. It is only because of your willingness to share your expertise about your context and the challenges you face that we have been able to hone our expertise in supporting you. We’re so excited to continue working with you!
