Academic-Practice Partnerships (APPs) seek to bring academia, Title V maternal and child health (MCH), and state and local public health together to create opportunities for academics, students, and practitioners to learn from one another and develop mutually beneficial collaborations. Working collaboratively and utilizing each other’s expertise and strengths, APPs can address the complex challenges of MCH in the 21st century.
Title V MCH Internship Program
Each summer, our Title V MCH Internship Program supports teams of MCH students to participate in internships in state and jurisdictional Title V programs. Each two-person team consists of graduate and undergraduate MCH students from training programs funded by the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA).
The goal of the program is to provide future MCH professionals with experience working in Title V agencies.
MCH Faculty Development Fellowship Program
The MCH Faculty Development Fellowship Program supports mid-career faculty in advancing their MCH work and scholarship in areas including public health education, student mentorship, research, and/or practice partnership development and engagement.
