Customized Support

Looking for support to tackle a complex challenge or build the capacity of your Title V workforce? We offer flexible and customized coaching, consultation, and/or training.

Each year, the National MCH Workforce Development Center is able to support a few state and jurisdictional Title V programs through customized support. This support is similar to what we offer in the Learning Journey but delivered in a flexible format that is tailored to each state or jurisdiction’s unique needs.

What is included?

Our customized support can help your Title V agency build your workforce capacity. We can work with your team to develop specific workforce skills, or we can help you address a particular challenge your program is currently facing.

For example, we often help teams:

  • Build leadership capacity for an executive team or program managers.
  • Increase skills in change management, evidence-based decision making, systems strengthening, and/or family and community engagement.
  • Learn new tools and benefit from expertise related to a priority area
  • Plan and implement effective evaluation strategies.
  • Develop a strategic direction for a stream of work.
  • Find the most strategic role for Title V in a priority area where other organizations are trying to achieve similar goals.

We have a team of experts and coaches with years of experience in maternal and child health, and we can create a plan to suit your needs. Typically, support includes a combination of coaching, consultation, and/or training.

How long can we receive customized support?

The length of an engagement depends on your needs. It can range from a single workshop to a program of ongoing support lasting multiple months or years, depending on the complexity of your challenge or the depth of the skills you’re looking to build within your workforce.

What is the cost?

Our services are free to state and jurisdictional Title V programs. (States and jurisdictions include U.S. states, territories, freely associated states, and the District of Columbia.)

How can we learn more?

If your Title V program might be interested in customized support, complete our interest form, and a member of our team will reach out to you for more information.

Not sure how much or what kind of support you need? Complete the form with the information you have! We’re happy to discuss your needs and recommend options. Our coaches and experts are also flexible, and we can adapt if your needs change or evolve.
