Growing the Pathways for MCH Students to Work in Governmental Public Health
Every summer, Title V MCH Internship student celebrate their achievements by presenting what they have learned and accomplished working with state and jurisdictional Title V agencies. Each two-person team consists of a graduate MCH student from a Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health and an MCH student from either an MCH Leadership, Education, and Advancement in Undergraduate Pathways (LEAP) Training Program or from an MCH graduate Public Health Catalyst program (Catalyst).
On Friday, August 4th and 11th, student teams presented their work to a wide audience via Zoom. You can learn more about their projects, what they learned, and how they hope to use their experiences to improve MCH in their future careers.

Engaging with People with Lived Experiences Resource Guide now Available
Many times, community and Public Health Practitioners have different needs and goals. It is critical for Public Health Practitioners to understand the perspectives of the community and involve them in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs in their community. Being aware of the power imbalances and the need to shift power will create the opportunities for establishing, cultivating, and sustaining partnerships.
The National MCH Workforce Development Center is pleased to share a new, free resource for engaging with people with lived experience with you.
The resource, Successful Engagement with People who have Lived Experience is intended to help Public Health Practitioners prepare for partnering with communities with lived experience..
